Hi there, I'm entering the work force after a year of FT study in a social sciences field. I did enjoy the time studying but working FT is obviously the best way to progress in life at this point in time.
Anyway, my question is for people who have or work in the "call centre help line" industry, whether that be kids help line, betting help or any relevant call centre councilor position.
If you enjoyed the work? Did it give you the work life balance they seem to advertise etc. Just general experience? Was the salary package decent? Also what is a salary sacrifice? Haha Because I am looking at a recently advertised position at a call centre counseling for youths job. However I have never done a call center job like that, I imagine it would be alot of crank calls etc, and maybe quiet shut off given everyone is dealing with serious matters over the phone. I feel like I do the have relevant experience and knowledge in the field, plus they do a comprehensive training program, which is always a plus. However as always just wanted to look for advice from the friendly folk at r/jobs.
