I work as a contractor for a large manufacturing company in S.C. I have been here several years and I get 3 weeks vacation a year on Jan 1. Today we were notified that if we were to be converted by the manufacturing company to a employee of the manufacturing company we would have to reimburse the contract company for any used vacation. If I use anymore than 25% of my 3 weeks in first quarter I have to payback any days over the 25%. In second quarter if I go over 50% of my vacation I pay that back. In third quarter if I go over 75% of my vacation I pay that amount back. In fourth quarter I can use all my vacation time with no consequences.
Anyone ever experienced this? Seems crazy to me and it has many of us contractors upset.
