Important context before you read anything else: I was laid-off last summer, my unemployment ran out in December, I will have to leave my home next month if I don't find a job quickly, I am not in a position to be picky.
Story summary is that I applied to this company in October and got very quick and excited interest from them. I competed two tests, did three 1-hr interviews with HR, team leader and a VP, to be told that they love me but hired someone else. They tell me they want me to do another role instead so I do another interview for that plus put together a portfolio of works to submit for it. Turns out the role doesn't exist actually and they don't have the infrastructure to create it. Here's another role. I still have to interview for it. Ask why I have to continue interviewing, am told there is nothing wrong with me they just haven't sought out a candidate this way before and have no standard protocol. But, that interview gets delayed because by now it's Christmas and no one is around to interview me. I hear back today that they went with an internal candidate instead but here's yet another role.
This whole process has taken a huge toll on me, continually getting my hopes up and crashing them down. I'm told everyone loves me but I still have no offer letter. Their Glassdoor is golden, I don't understand what's happening. I literally have ran out of time and I cannot go through another multi-week interview process to not get the job. I only have one other company interviewing me currently, and I just started that process last week. I plan to email politely saying that I am interested but I want to move on to final steps.
Thoughts? And secondary question: how would you respond? Thanks.
