Internship Job Offer / Staggered Deadlines & Risking Losing Both

Hi guys, needing some advice moving forward with an internship selection. This is my final summer for an internship (rising senior) so it is crucial to secure a good position.

First choice: I originally thought I would only interview for this company. The company aligns so closely with who I am and what my goals are, located in my ideal place (urban), and is a perfect fit. I have been in contact with a high level hiring manager but unfortunately they begin their hiring process in the coming weeks.

Second choice: I hadn't originally applied , however they asked me in for an interview (which they conduct once with all candidates) so I went. It is in a super small city in which I have spent a ton of time in--I don't dislike the city, but I don't feel super comfortable there (the people in the city aren't my pace, many people from my childhood now live there, etc), just not an ideal fit. I didn't want to have a car and deal with gas/parking, but because of this city location, I would have to.

I essentially would have to risk not having an internship by interviewing at the second place in the coming weeks (since I would have to decline the first offer because of time sensitive deadline.

I know it seems obvious to not risk it, but I feel so passionately about the position at my first choice that I can't help but feel extremely torn. I am fairly sure I would be selected (if I declined the first offer and went to the interview), but that isn't something I would feel completely confident in. Because both of these positions are crucial for my post-grad, I feel very stressed in the decision. I know I would be much happier at my first choice, but I keep telling myself it is only 9-10 weeks and to suck it up.

I think I am struggling because I don't thrive at my school (as a person) and know I won't thrive at my second choice city as much as I would at my first choice.

Logistically, the pay is the same. The acceptance is non-negotiable.

I'm fairly certain I should choose my second choice, but I need some perspective to make me feel confident doing that.

Thanks!

tl;dr: second choice position offered me a job but I know I would be so much happier at my first choice. Because the interview timelines don't align, I have to choose what to do about my second choice (risking not having a job) in order to have my dream internship/job.
