Did an AMA this week and many people said I'm being way underpaid. What to do?

Anyways, in addition to my current profession, I have a background in intelligence and some database and link-analysis software.

Two years of college from a less heralded program within an elite university.

I was told by an acquaintance that I could be making much more at a tech startup doing call center stuff but I really have no idea how to go about that. I live in an area with a robust tech industry and a litany of startups. I like my current job but I don't want to be a chump about being underpaid.

I'm thinking about finding a job that I like and could really thrive in, applying and then giving my current employer a chance to match the offer. Thoughts y'all?
