I interviewed at a company 1.5 months ago, for two separate jobs (let’s call them Job A and Job B). It’s a large corporation (50k employees). My skill set lines up more with job B than job A.
Last week on Tuesday I got an email from the HR for job B saying that she would contact me with an update after getting approvals and such. She needed to work on a few layers of red tape. Friday came around with no response, so I emailed her and she promptly responded (within 15 mins) that she was still working on approvals. She expected to be done this week and apologized for the delay.
Last Friday I also got an automated response from Job A, rejecting me from the posting. A day later I saw job A reposted online again.
I am super confused about this whole situation. I really thought I did well on these interviews - connecting well with both teams. Now I’m concerned I’m just going to get rejected from both. Can anyone shed some light on this situation?
