This is something that I just noticed, like 80 percent of jobs require some sort of "certification" that upon closer inspection, will take around 12 to 24 months to obtain....
the problem with this, IS THAT MOST OF THESE DAMN JOBS ONLY PAY LIKE 18 AN HOUR?
Why are so many jobs literally behind a paywall. You have to waste 2 years of your life, sink 6k-10k on a certification course for some reason, then golly freaking gee you are now in the work force and that job requires 5 years of experience.
When the hell did this happen? Like I know I sound fumed but who exactly are these companies expecting to hire? OH MAN LET ME TELL YOU, when I was 6 I knew I wanted to be an "inspection specialist." So when I was 18, instead of going to college to expand my education, I just dove NECK DEEP INTO THAT SWEET SWEET 2 year "inspection specialist" certification program. Oh man now that I am making 16.5 an hour in metro Virginia, I have it made!
No really what the hell is going on with employers.
