Would it be weird to apply for the same job just after I got rejected but after changing stuff on the application?

I'm a 16-year-old teenager. I applied for a basic intro job for teens at a veterinary clinic a couple of days ago. I got rejected and I think it was due to the lack of time availability. I said I could only work on the weekends. However, I found out that I actually have availability on weekdays. I was advised to call up the clinic asking them which hours they needed someone. Would it be weird though to call them up and ask for which hours they needed someone and to say I applied recently and got rejected? Also, I would be asking them if I could apply again. This could raise some awkwardness because there's a huge chance that I was rejected due to another reason and not just due to my time availability.
