My company is offering me a different position and I'd be switching from hourly with a lot of OT to salary for about the same amount of net pay... Is it worth it?
Currently I work a weird schedule; I'm hourly and basically on-call 6 days a week. I always get my 40 hours, but if I need to work outside of those on-call hours, I get OT for those hours.
I've been making $30/hr all this year and am on track to make around $75k by the end of it.
The new position they're offering would be a bit more work, but they're saying it would be somewhere around $75k, salary.
Would this end up being more take-home pay? I know that they tax the cheese out of OT hours, but I don't know how this would compare to a taxed salary.
Are there any calculators online where I could get a better idea of comparing OT vs. salary?
