How do I get LinkedIn to send out a notification that simply shows I was promoted at the same company vs. "starting a new position"?

I noticed that when some of my LinkedIn connections get promoted within the same company, it simply notifies me that they were promoted within their company. E.g. "Congratulate Bob for being promoted to X position at XYZ company."

I was just recently promoted at my company, so I updated my position on LinkedIn + toggled on the option to notify my network, and the notification that was sent out says "Congratulate u/throwaway93731 for starting a new position at XYZ company."

Why didn't it notify my network that I was promoted instead of saying that I "started a new position"? I would have preferred that and am not understanding why the notification wasn't worded that way, as I've seen from some of my connections.
