The last time I was hired almost immediately was 25 years ago back when I was working as a cashier in high school.
I'm at the mid to senior level now and it's a relief if I have an interview process that's less than 5 rounds and multiple assessments.
I was just interviewed for a board position that would make me one of the highest-ranking executives in a nationwide nonprofit organization.
The interview was about 2 hours with the board of directors. It was my first and only interview beyond a five-minute phone screen with HR.
Hours later, I just received a job offer that would pay me me a salary that would be the most I have ever made in my entire life.
The organization is legit and I'm sure it's something everyone here would have heard of. I applied online, so it's not like I met them through a professional network where we all know each other. I was essentially a stranger off the street.
Isn't that a bit weird?
