I work at a small insurance agency, there’s only one other full time employee, one ~30 hour employee and my manager. I’m planning to move across the country in 2-3 months. I’ve been having a hard time finding employment probably because I’m not living there yet. I haven’t told my boss yet and can’t decide if it would be worth it to tell her I’m planning to quit or just give a two weeks notice later. Pros are maybe could get a letter of recommendation or work part time from new state from home. Cons are if something happens and I can’t move will she just replace me ASAP? Or will I even be employed full time next few months?? She’s been understanding to one employee that put in a month long notice but I’m worried bc I do need this job. Advice
TL;DR Moving different state should I tell my boss so I can get hooked up with letter of recommendation or should I avoid telling bc might be replaced before I’m ready to leave
