Hi everyone. I'm 24yo and have a business/computer science degree. I've been working at a good company for 5 months as a data analyst. I get around $53k/yr, good benefits and pension.
Shortly after I started, my manager retired and was replaced. The new one is just as nice as the old one. However, we had an IT guy with 10 years here who... isn't there anymore... shortly after the management change. I've heard mixed messages concerning the circumstances, and don't know if he was fired or quit. Since the transition, I'm doing his job in addition to my own, with some contractors for extra support. No one knows anything about the company's systems, I'm on my own.... I'm learning a lot, though!
I applied to a job posting for an IT job with similar benefits and $75k/yr, same hours. On one hand, I feel like the new company might have much better training, I'd be getting much more money, and it's very secure. On the other hand, I love my coworkers/management at my current place, I'm learning a lot still, and it might be rude to just leave right now.
The new company wants to interview me next Friday. I'm going to go, but I'm not sure how to feel about this.
