W2 v 1099 Compensation Confusion with Jon Offer

So, I was just laid off from a W2 job in MA earning 67k with pretty standard health benefits. I had essentially 20 days of vacation I could use between the different PTO that I accrued. I just received an offer for employment (not formal yet) at a position in CT that would be a 1099 position with 5 vacation days. How do I negotiate in a way that I can make up for some of my vacation days (maybe ask for unpaid time off?)) without also giving up salary with the additional taxes that I would be paying by being a 1099. The prospective employer also pays 50% of Mass healthcare plan and does a standard match into an IRA that I would open independently. Thanks so much!
