Hey reddit,
I was recently laid off from a company I had spent a year and six months at. The company backed out of a contract with the government, and my position was effected. I wanted to ask for some advice on how to be productive and not fall into a bad rut with not working. I've had one job interview so far that I thought went well, but they never followed through so I'm guessing I'm not getting the position. I've been applying to positions that I want, not need, since I am in a decent position financially to not have to go for a job that I'm going to hate. However, most of my days playing video games. I would love to get into the Cyber Security field, but my bachelors is in Criminal Justice and I cant seem to find an entry lvl position to get my foot into. Any advice on how to he productive and better myself during my unemployment? I'm worried about spending 6 hours of my day playing video games and not doing anything productive. First time I've been without a job since 15, not counting being a full time student at college.
