Withdrawing / modifying applications through online systems?

I have an application I submitted with a referral from an old coworker from a previous job, and it's almost been 2 weeks and I've heard nothing back from them.

I've got an inkling that I might be getting skipped over due to my age, because it's a tech position (I'm 33). He did mention they are in crunch time at that specific location, and it might take longer, but I'm starting to think maybe that isn't the case, and I'm not wholly confident in my resumé anymore.

The way their system works, I might be able to withdraw my application and reapply with it updated, but obviously I'd ideally want to have the new resumé optimized so it can go up right away and not just be gone entirely.

Does anybody have experience with this?
