So I've prepared an answer for an in-person interview asking why I left my previous job (long story short: I was fired for sales performance that wasn't entirely my fault but I know better than to paint my company in the negative light I really feel about it -- I'm prepared to take ownership of the situation without saying it was entirely my fault).
However, on an online application there isn't space or even a way for you to express the reasons and give them the proper nuance. I end up just putting "terminated due to sales performance primarily driven by...."
Thankfully, not many online applications seem to ask this but I've seen a few that do.
Anyone have any suggestions in this area?
