I've been unemployed for a couple of months now. I've been applying any entry-level place that I can near me through Indeed but I've not been getting any interviews even. I don't think I've gotten more than two in the past three months and I've been applying to 3-5 places every day. I'm starting to believe maybe every company in my area has me on a blacklist or something as the only contact I get from them are rejection letters.
Details and Background:
I live in NYC. I'm applying to retail places (think: Macy's, Banana Republic, Bed Bath & Beyond), fast food places (think: Chili's, McDonald's, Cheesecake Factory), and any data entry jobs I see since I think I'd be able to do those. Here's my resume.
I do have prior work experience in retail but I can't put it on my resume. I've had two jobs in the past and I admittedly made stupid decisions with each of them. The first job I left in a day because it was too far to travel from my house and I was struggling to find a way to get back home at night. The second job I left in three weeks due to mental health issues (I got depressed and skipped work). I've not listed it on my resume and when I've been applying online, I've not listed either of them as previous experience and what not because I don't know how I'd explain it.
