I've been in a family business for 16 years now and starting to think about looking for employment. My problem is although I'm pretty highly skilled in a lot of I.T areas such as design with Adobe products/networking/building and repairing computers /web design etc as I've always had a genuine passion for anything technology wise it's all self taught and required to run our business efficiently - I'm basically that guy that friends and family make themselves a nuisance to whenever they have a tech problem. Despite all this I have no formal qualifications, nothing to draw attention to my CV. What's best to do in a situation like this? A friend of mine just got an IT job on 60k a year and by his own admission is clueless compared to my knowledge in the field he has a BA Hons to his name though. Has anyone else been in this situation? Thank you
