I have a group interview for a Specialist/Genius role in an Apple store. Only problem is, the only Apple product I've ever owned is my 2009 MacBook Pro. How should I prepare?
I applied for a PT position in an Apple store, and after doing a phone interview, I was invited for round 2, which is a group interview. The hiring manager gave me few pointers about what the interview will entail, including the groups giving a presentation/demo of an Apple product/software/feature.
I was honest with the manager from the get go that my only technical support experience was with Windows. I did some support for iMacs, but it was very basic. I have never played around with an iPhone, and I'm typing this on Windows 10, which is dual-booting on a 2009 MacBook Pro. At first I used Windows only for my programming assignments, but I just kind of stuck with it for non-college stuff as well. The laptop is old, so I can't install the latest versions of macOS.
I initially applied for the Specialist position, but after talking about my previous retail and tech support experience, the hiring manager suggested the Genius role instead. I have the behavioural questions covered, but I don't know how to prepare for Apple specific questions. Any advice?
