I started a job at a small business of about 12 employees. It's a husband and wife owned business and they are in their 60s. Due to changing laws, the industry they are in is growing rapidly and the business is expanding, including getting ready to double their office and production space. I could see the business tripling in the next 5-10 years easily.
It seems they promote from within. What do you think is a good strategy for being promoted in fast growing small business.
I'm at a point where I am looking for a new career and have a few ideas, but waiting to see what pans out. So this may be one of them. Only good thing I can see on my side, is that I got hired for one area of production, but am being trained for everything. Others are just being trained on one side.
