Hey so I've been unemployed about a month. I registered for unemployment and everything and about ready to get my first benefit payment.
Today I got a call for a job that I'd rather not work. However, unemployment does not look kindly on people receiving unemployment turning down jobs (and for good reason). The interview is tomorrow, but I have an interview for a better job I'm pretty sure I'll be getting through a reference on Friday.
I'd much rather take the job on Friday, but of course if I can't get that job I'll take what I can get. Assuming I get offered the job tomorrow, how do I defer an answer until I see how the interview goes on Friday? I've never had to turn down/defer answering a job, and definitely not in a position where I shouldn't.
