Hated my job so i didn't go back and asked for a different position, did I do something wrong? If so how should I have handled this?

I applied for a stocking position but when I got there I was offered deli and seafood. I just accepted it because I wanted a job, but I hated it. They barely trained me and expected me to know what to do, and the customers are so mean. I rather just do stocking because it's what I know and people only interact with you to ask you an aile of something. Anyways, i didnt show up for training after day 1 after a man berated me for making a mistake - that was it, didnt want to go back after that. I asked the person who hired me about other positions, instead of the original offer she just told me im scheduled for deli and to come in. I best explained to her what i encountered there with the high stress and being sent to seafood without training, and why i prefer another position but she just ignored my email and i haven't heard back.

She is a real nice woman so her ignoring my emails makes me think I actually made a big no no in the job world (not my first job but im very new and inexperienced)
