No more savings, still job hunting. Not sure what to do to be more effective and land a job.

Hi all, I'm brand new here. I previously worked in the IT industry as a member of a Tech Ops team but ended up losing my job in May due to a company buyout (my position was made redundant). I'd been looking for a job for about a month before (when we were given the news) I was let go and all throughout May and June. I've used Indeed.com, LinkedIn and Dice.com reviewing positions and submitting my resume to those I felt would be a good fit for me. I've gotten a few calls in dispersed within that time (on avg maybe 3 callbacks a week) but not a single appointment for an actual face to face interview. I truly hope it isn't too late but I've only just begun to suspect that maybe I'm doing something wrong.

I admit that I am not the best with saving but the little money I had saved is now depleted. This is the last month I'm able to pay my rent and I'm unsure of what I should be doing better. I'm planning on using my Credit Card to pay for next month if need be. Has anyone been in this situation before and can guide me on how to most effectively move forward with my job search or what I should be focusing on?

I'm really unsure of what information is relevant here so I'll happily edit this post with answers to any questions or extra information as needed.
