The cover letter itself is actually fine, but I messed up the address and wrote 1750 instead of 1705. Literally noticed the mistake right after sending, as one does. In most cases, I'd assume this doesn't matter, but this is for a copy editing position and I figure it wouldn't look good to a hiring manager if I claimed to have "excellent attention to detail" with a typo in my first line.
Should I hope they don't notice or send in a new cover letter? I feel like catching my mistakes might look good, but I'm also worried that sending in a new cover letter might draw attention to it. Any thoughts?
