I recently got a job in retail and something happened that I will not be able to go into work for the rest of the week. I don’t get much hours anyway and it’s my first job too. I am standing, walking, and bending throughout my whole shift and what happened won’t allow me to do that. So I told my parents I should call in that I won’t be able to work this week but my parents are saying to wait it out till tomorrow and if I still feel this way then call in but I start my shift in the morning and don’t want to call in last min. I know that I’ll still feel this way tomorrow so I’m thinking of calling in today but my parents are saying no your going to get fired, if they tell you to come in on a day your not scheduled this week to go, that I’m over exaggerating and being dramatic, and that I should just go in and if I don’t feel well to leave. But why should I go in if Im going to leave and then they have the stress of calling someone in.What do you guys think I should do? Btw it will be my first time missing a shift.
