Current contractor - saw position listed for $15/hr more than I make

So I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but didn't where else. I am currently a contractor for a major midwestern utility company. I signed a 1 year contract in March at $35 an hour. I recently saw a posting for my position online starting at $50/hr, and got a call from a recruiter(didn't have my current resume so wasn't aware I worked there) looking to fill a position starting at $60/hr. Both positions are with my current company doing what I do.

As a contract employee, is there typically any way to negotiate a contract raise, or am I stuck at $35? I would like to use these posts as leverage, but from what I can gather it seems like I am stuck at my current rate until my contract is up. I am the only person in my department doing what I do, so is my best bet just spending the next few months proving my worth?

Any advice would be awesome, and thanks a ton in advance!!! Kept a few details vague for various reasons so just let me know any questions!
