I was offered a desk job with salary pay, paid vacation, insurance, retirement plan, and more. Not exactly my dream job but it's a dream to be financially stable right now. It would be the highest paying job I've ever had. Problem is I'm worried I will fail. I've only ever had jobs, not actual careers. Been working at restaurants and retail, stuff like that. This is a position in inside sales for a business company. We basically handle orders other businesses make to our business. I've never done something like this, and really seem like they wanted to teach me (i was honest about having ZERO inside sales experience) and swore it's not something you couldn't learn, but I'm fearful I will fail, especially when they said it took them a year to get it. They are much sharper than me, mentally. When the vice-president interviewed me I kind of lied about some things, he asked if he made me nervous, I said no. He asked if I was good at math, I said yes. He asked if I was good speaking in a room full of people, I said yes. All of these were lies. The two women I would be working with in the office are very soft-spoken, and don't seem like they want to be talking much, seem very introverted, so I was hoping perhaps I stood a chance, but now that they've actually offered me the job I am extremely fearful of just sucking.
