Help with what to do when you may have to move every few years unexpectedly and it shows in your resume?

Hello! (posting this for a friend who doesn't have Reddit, but is online with me, so this is in her words)

I've had a very difficult time landing a job in Long Island despite looking and applying to anything I find. I think I need to adjust my resume, and also look for advice on how to frame it considering I've had to move around quite a bit. My partner has a traveling sales job, so we move where-ever his jobs asks him to. Sometimes it's every few years, sometimes sooner. It's unpredictable.

I think that may be limiting callbacks, and I know there isn't much I can do to change that but I'm open and happy to get any and all advice to improve my chances.
