Got the job then was let go before starting

I began applying for jobs (many many applications sent) around March and I accepted a position in April. I just graduated college, had my last day at my beloved college job, and was prepared to start my new job next week. I got a terrible call that my employer is no longer filling the position. Now I’m graduated and unemployed. I feel so embarrassed because I had told everyone about the position. I am feeling pretty depressed now. Now it is back to the job search. :(
