Today I went for an interview and got a job offer for a job where I will be going into peoples houses, alone, and helping them find services for their children.
They mentioned that I will be paid in units after 2 months, and these units will be billed when I write them in notes electronically.
This will be my first job after graduating from college and i don’t know if I’m ready for this. I say this because, they will be expecting me to go to their office 3 times a week, which is a 2 hour commute. And then on the 2 other days they want me to visit 5 families that live pretty far apart.
I don’t know if I’m ready for that level of commitment, mostly because I’m feeling anxious about talking to people and making calls for them.
I am also worried because I applied to another job that I really want but they haven’t gotten back to me, and I don’t know if I should wait for them or just take the offer.
I signed some background check papers and I signed the application. Does that mean I still have to go through with this or can I back-out whenever I want to? Also, could I quit if I felt that the job wasn’t a good fit?
Help me! Please and thank you.
