How should I handle my direct boss gossiping about me?

Hi all,

I’m in a weird predicament. My direct boss loves to gossip about everyone in the office (she gossips to me about the other employees, many of which are my friends). Today it came to light that she’s been gossiping about me and the way I fill out my timesheets. For example, at work we are able to flex time if we miss a day or a few hours or whatever. This is direct from our HR managers mouth. However, weeks ago I did this and apparently she talked bad about me to multiple of my coworkers. This is the second or third instance of her apparently talking bad about me and I’ve heard it from multiple coworkers. Do I go to the head boss? Anything I can do here? Is it even worth it?
