Does anyone else work a very physically demanding job? How do you deal with muscle soreness and blisters?
I work in a warehouse bottling 18L bottles of water. I have to throw about 700 of these on pallets every shift so I'm lifting, even if only briefly, about 32,000 lbs of water a day. I'm new to the job so this has been an incredibly tiring experience but I'm keeping a good mentality as the pay and benefits are great, plus shifts go fast. The downside is I keep getting doms (delayed onset muscle syndrome) to the point where even walking to the fridge after work is a superhuman task. I have blisters all over my feet as well and can't fathom how I'll get through my next shift.
Does anyone have any tips to minimize the soreness and blisters? This is the main obstacle I'm dealing with right now and I really don't want to pass up this opportunity for these reasons. Thanks!
