Are employers discouraged from hiring an out-of-state college student looking for work in his/her hometown?

I am trying to apply for a couple of part-time jobs to work for this summer in my hometown, for about 12 weeks. I have been putting down, consistently on every application for every job I have applied at, that I am currently working at an on-campus work study job every term, that I have worked a full time job office job during my 2 week spring break on campus, and that I worked at Dominos in my hometown for about 5 months last year. My dad thinks its a bad idea to put that I am an out-of-state college student, but I feel that my application would be incomplete without it - mainly because it would imply that I have worked only one job in the past year, which isn't true nor helpful towards getting employed in my opinion. Do you guys agree, or should I leave all of the on-campus employment out of my applications?

I am a current freshman if that helps.
