I’ve been out of the job market since October. Only really been looking since January(was taking care of a sick family member since then)
Get contacted by a old job I had. It was a super corporate daycare and their recruiter contacted me.
We go back and fourth and I end up telling her I left because of pay and I’d come back if they could match it. Give her a salary(stupidly went higher than I was making) and she says they have no positions in that salary. Eventually she contacts me again saying she has two positions open in my range.
I interviewed for one and there’s no mention of the position. She keep talking about teaching positions available. Eventually asks my salary and I give her the exact salary I was making(knew that it was high even for them as they previously couldn’t match it)
They offer me a job and it’s not the job the recruiter told me about. It’s just a teaching position.
Would you still accept the job? Also should I contact the recruiter and ask about the position she talked about?
TLDR; Got contacted by an old company I previously worked for. I left when they couldn’t match a current offer. The recruiter speaks of a position that’s a step up from what I’m doing so I take an interview . No mention of position. They offer me a job that is totally not what was discussed. Would you take it? Should I contact the recruiter about this?
