Staffing firm screwed up pay rate, how to handle?

Staffing firm #1 found me and told me about a role at an ideal company. I was excited and told them my rate would be $41/hr. They said the max rate for the position is $30/hr for a 12 month contract. I disappointingly said ok just to at least get my foot in the door at this company.

The next day staffing firm #2 called me about a better suited position at the same company for a 6 month contract, and when I told them I wanted my rate to be $41, they suggested to put me in for $45/hr to help cover time-off/healthcare costs. Much better deal.

That same day I got an email from firm #1 saying I wasnt moving forward with the $30/hr role. Ok no big deal.

Then firm #2 called me and said they wouldn't be able to justify the $45/hr rate because firm #1 entered me into the company's system with a max rate of $30/hr. I told them I conceded to that rate because it was the max for that role.

So I'm waiting to hear back from firm #2 on how they can justify the rate and what they are actually submitting me at .

So I feel like firm #1 messed me up for this whole company since they entered me into the company system at the lower rate. Is there any way for me to go about clearing this lower rate from the company system?
