I was recently hired at an accountancy firm, and I like it, but I just discovered that a position for the same job position and firm at a different site has an opening and I sorta want to transfer there. It's closer to home, in a safer neighborhood, is larger with more opportunities for growth, and the facility is nicer. The thing is I'm afraid it's way too early to transfer to a new site (not even sure if I can at this stage) and I feel like even asking or mentioning it might make it seem like I'm trying to ditch my current team for the shiny new thing, and this might reflect badly on my overall commitment. I'm very afraid to talk to my district manager about transferring seeing as how I only put in 2 weeks with the current site (excluding training).
