I'm 26, no kids. I've started a little business which is growing but the earnings are nowhere near enough to live on just yet. I'm reinvesting any profits back into the business.
I want a part-time job to 1. combat loneliness 2. get an income to feed myself and 3. invest any spare money in the business
I feel like a lot of my competitors and other candidates will be part-time because they have young kids.
I guess my concern is that any employer is going to immediately say no because they think I'm just going to leave the job as soon as my business becomes successful (which I suppose is a valid point) and therefore hiring someone with kids/more responsibility is going to be a "safer" bet. Does anyone have any experience doing something similar and have any advice to give?
