Got a job offer, and the contract had a lower wage than the original job advertisement

Hi everyone, first post on this sub but I need some advice.

So I've recently been through a long job interviewing process, and was so excited to be offered the position. The only problem was that on the job contract, the hourly wage was listed lower than the wage advertised in the original job ad. I immediately contacted my potential employer and they said it's a standard wage for all contract staff (not a permanent position), but they will try and contact HR and see what they can do. Should I walk away from this? The job is supposed to start in a week and a half and there was no mention of wage changes before I got sent the contract.

I've already told my current job I accepted this position so I am feeling very stressed about the whole situation.
