I [16F) got a job in February making it my first ever job, the pay wasn’t disclosed to me before the interview so i had no way of knowing how much it would be, just that it was a job that i would be paid for and the minimum wage is £4.20.
I then found out that it would be paying minimum wage and thought nothing of it seeing as i didn’t have much choice for a job and was pretty lucky to even get one (I like in teeny village and my mum had a whole list of requirements due to the fact i’ll be taking very important exams this summer.) However, as i started to work there more and more I realised how draining the work is. My boss has no communication whatsoever for example I only work Saturdays and she put me down for a Tuesday youth club without telling me at all. She then started to complain about me not showing up when she also hadn’t sent me the work rota.
I am unhappy with my job as in my opinion it doesn’t pay enough (as well as my manager etc) and so I’m planning on waiting till after i finish my gcses (those exams i mentioned) and then quitting. How should i quit in a way that i can still be able to put it on my CV, is that even possible? I would’ve been working there for around 4+ months by the time i quit. I know I have to put in a two week notice but i’m wondering if i could then put on holiday leave for those two weeks as my manager is passive aggressive and i won’t want to deal with that for two more weeks
I want to find a different job before i quit and will be able to look in other areas apart from my own town so how would i go about doing this as i’ll still have my current job. Would I put in my two weeks straight after i find out i got the job?
I just really need some advice on this whole situation. Thank you.
