Year End Bonus and 2 Week Notice

Throwaway account so thanks for the help!

I currently have accepted another job and the start date is set for February 25th. My current workplace will most likely issue bonuses on February 22th. I have a feeling that if I put in my 2 weeks notice on the 4th that they will not pay me my bonus which isn't really fair but when is corporate fair. Should I just not put in my two weeks and get the bonus and leave? My manager is notorious for walking out employees that doesn't disclose where they're leaving to.

I also wonder what a previous employer can say in the future if they were ever contacted about me. I don't want them to slander my image to future employers.
