I speak Bengali, intermediate in the proper form and fluent in one of it's dialects.
I just started a job and turns out they do a lot of business in Bangladesh and the CFO told me they'll be using me as a possible translator for many of their conferences.
I'm also the only one in the office that speaks the language.
However, I don't speak the language with anyone in NYC and so I feel I've been losing the ability to speak, read or write coherently. I can say I went from intermediate/expert to beginner/intermediate.
I don't want this to effect my job negative. Any ideas in how I can approve my speaking, reading and writing not only to have an additional skill but to also be more useful to my bosses.
Thank you!
