I'm currently working as a barista in the next town over (21 hrs/wk at $13.50/hr) and was recently offered a position as a full-time file clerk at my hometown (40 hrs/wk at $12/hr). I'm unsure whether or not I should take this opportunity. I also currently study business and intend to get into marketing once I'm done.
I genuinely enjoy my job as a barista but considering the hours are barely sufficient enough to cover my bills and nothing more, I'm left leaning more towards the file clerk position.
Redditors with file clerk experience: would you consider this position as monotonous as one would assume? I just don't know if I'd do well going from a job where I am in my element as an extrovert to quietly alphabetizing files for 8 hours.
Thanks Reddit!
