Looking to transition into a job of working with amputees who have/want robotic limbs, where do I start?

Hello all. I currently do face-to-face pharmaceutical sales through a company I have been at for a few years and have had great success at. I was a science major in college and graduated with a bachelors in science and wanted to go medical school. Decided against it and bounced around in different sales jobs until I landed my current job in early 2017.

I’m not sure if my current job is something I see being a long term career and have always had a strong interest in how robotic limbs worked with the body. Other than going back to school for biomedical engineering, what might be some other ways I could get into this field with a bachelors and years of successful sales background experience?
