Just what the post says. I really dislike working. Every job I've had eventually leaves a bad taste in my mouth and that doesn't seem to change. I treat work as a necessary thing to do because I don't want to starve and to take care of my family.
However every employer at my countless jobs expects you to be on deck 24/7, and if you're not currently at work, they want you waiting by the phone in case someone else calls in so you can cover for them on your day off.
My current employer I've only been working there for a month but Im only a temp with the option to go full time in 2 more months. They just won't stop telling me how I've gotta want it, and how the people above me are salaried so they do whatever necessary to get the job done! Which I found out one of the sales guys goes home at 5, spends time with his family until 9 and then goes back to work from 9 to midnight. Then on Saturdays he goes in from 8 to 2. And most of the guys directly above me just have one cell phone, for work and personal which basically means they can be called at anytime. I really really don't want to do that. I just want to work my 40 hours and get paid. Any such jobs?
TL;DR I just want to put in my 40, collect my paycheck, and go home. Is that possible in today's world.
