How do I successfully showcase my value/skills in job interviews that are mostly behavioral questions?
I need to get better at interviews. I've tried preparing for interviews because I get very nervous in front of people and start babbling.
Interviews nowadays, at least in my industry, are behavioral type questions like "Tell me about a time you had a disagreement with a manager, what would you say to a teammate who isn't pulling their weight in a team project, what is your greatest weakness, etc?" They never ask straight up about my accomplishments, skills, or history.
How can I make myself a good candidate answering only behavior questions and not questions where I can definitively discuss my skills?
Am I missing something? I don't understand how to successfully navigate this style of interview and I've never gotten a job offer from one.
