I was charged with a misdemeanor but the prosecutor dropped the charge. I didn't do any type of pre-trial diversion hearing or anything, the charges were just dropped at the pre trial hearing. I did plead not guilty on my arraignment though, if that matters.
I am not applying for a federal job and the question as is "during the last 7 years have you ever been CONVICTED, ARRESTED, ON PROBABTION, OR PAROLE." I feel like I should answer no, since I was never convicted or arrested. I was wondering if I could get any input. Should I answer no, but explain that I was charged and the case was dismissed, or should I just answer no and move on. Thanks.
