I just wanted to get an opinion about this...
Log story short, I told my room mate false things in our office and about consultants with guys just to make him jealous before and so that house mates would stop teasing me with him because it felt uncomfortable. Someone in our house spread it to people in my industry (I do not know if this person did it to sabotage me-I suspect this person did it to sabotage me and make me lose my job/leave to go back to my country). I believe its this one person who I told most of these things to who would hold therapy sessions (shes studying to be a therapist) with me and I would tell all these things to her. The thing is this person also spread things that are accurate and true and the head honchos of these companies found out and are leaving these people in a hot spot. (like taboo things- open relationships in the office) I actually believe someone already got fired.
I feel like this person trying to sabotage was able to reach out to my boss (who I believe was also out to get me for a combination of not being a good fit for the company, performance issues, nepotism, a rumor-that they also heard which was true and I told my room mate- one of the head people in our office talked to me about white privilege). And made an attempt to overthrow me from the industry. I also believe these people had access to my personal social passwords, identity- because there were a lot of times where I would catch someone logged into my social media from a place where my boss is from.
Now I am being kept out of the loop (if ever there was an investigation going on) for I do not know what reason why. I think it is also because there are some rumors that are going on that I did not say or I have the means to do a thorough investigation. All these terms come into play- CHARACTER ASSASSINATION, DEFAMATION, IDENTITY THEFT, STALKING (logging into someone elses private website account is considered criminal)
I already switched jobs. Question is, should I also change my location? My CAREER even? I felt like these were spread wide and far to a lot of people in the industry
