over 6 months of unemployment and barely any job interviews. what am i doing wrong? any suggestions for jobs?

I've legit been applying to everywhere in Los Angeles and I barely get any word back from the places I have been applying to.. What can I do to actually get some more interviews going? I've been applying to medical places, hotels, food chains, and any other companies that aren't sketchy.

So far i've been scammed twice. one was a pyramid scheme job and the other costed me $1500..
