I have a B.Sc. in Online Communication and soon will finish my M.A. in Marketing and Sales. I live in Germany and all of my almost 5 university years I‘ve always had a side job in the communication and/or marketing field.
Last week I had 2 interviews and cannot decide what to do.
The first one was at a worldwide known American movie company and it‘s the German devision for that company. There I would be the intern in the theatrical marketing team for 6 months. I asked about chances to get taken over after that, but they said it completly depends on the situation in half a year and whether there are vacancies.
Other one would be a fulltime job as a marketing manager for event and content marketing at a service contractor for a German car brand. The salary is good, the contract is unlimited. The tasks are just what I imagined I would do after my Master.
I guess everybody will tell me to do the fulltime job. I mean, the original goal behind the internship was to get more experience, but why should I do it if this second company takes me just the way I am? Well, the thing is, I‘ve always wanted to work at that movie company and the best (and maybe only) way to get started there is to do that internship.
